• What is a SAQA Verification Letter and why do I need it?

  A SAQA Verification Letter verifies that your qualification is authentic.

  South Africans need it to work abroad

• Can Laowai Teachers apply on my behalf? How long does it take?

  Yes we handle we handle 100s of SAQA applications per month.

  Our processing time is 7~10 working days

• Do I need to courier my original degree?

  No, for SAQA applications we work with pdf scans.

  A clear scan of your degree, ID/passport copy and duly completed and signed consent form

• What about collection?

  Laowai Teachers handles the entire process. We apply,collect and courier the original letter to the client

• I paid you to expedite, why is my letter taking too long?

  There are some cases that take longer due to circumstances beyond SAQA’s control.

  1. The certificate is older, pre 1994 qualifcation

  2. The qualification was obatined before a merger, for instance RAU, Vista.

     It’s very difficult for SAQA to obtain the records in the two instances

  3. Your school is not responding to SAQA. SAQA asks for feedback from a designated contact person from the school. Without feedback they can not issue the letter

  4. UJ qualifications; some UJ qualifications require SAQA to send a verification link to start the verification. We advise our clients on how to go about this.

  5. Outstanding fee; your school may refuse to give feedback until outstanding fees are settled.

     In any of the above scenarios we work hard to help or clients get favourable results even though it may take a little longer

• How many qualifications may I verify?

  SAQA allows 3 qualifications per letter for the same amount.

• Can SAQA verify my TEFL Certificate ,transcriptsand matric certificate

  No, TEFL certificates and transcripts are not done through SAQA. Please get in touch with us, we can advise

  Umalusi /matric certificates are verified through Umalusi. We can assist with this too!

• Can I add a new qualification to a reprint?

  No, if you add a new qualification it is treated as a new application.

  SAQA will charge normal rates

• Can Laowai Teachers assist with verifications of foreign qualifications?

  No we don’t. We only verify South African qualifications
