DIRCO will not accept these documents...
DIRCO certainly has some do’s & don’ts. I have picked up a few over the years.
Now DIRCO is already time consuming, so let’s avoid further delays..
DON’TS
Do not laminate your documents
Your police clearance certificate must be valid, it’s valid for 6 months
if your document has been apostilled at high court, DIRCO will not duplicate. The high court apostille is enough. Please note some countries specifically want DIRCO apostilles.
DIRCO will not legalise handwritten birth certificates. Get yourself a computerised version
DIRCO does not want your original degree, don’t send this. Send your SAQA letter or your degree that’s been notarized. (notary & high court)
Further delays…
Some delays are beyond our control. If DIRCO can not verify the official’s signature. They will not legalise your documents until they are able to do so. This happens sometimes.
Do’s
Send your original SAQA letter, Police clearance certificate, Home Affairs documents directly to DIRCO.These document do not need to be notarised first.
Clearly mark on the cover page where the documents are going etc. South Korea, China
Check your email and spam, this is how DIRCO communicates.
I hope this was some what helpful~
